So far I'm pretty much done my project! I've managed to finish a lot of a big parts I now just have to polish and touch up certain parts of the video and add the credits I've had a lot of fun making this project, I always enjoy making things about my interests and hobbies. and it was better than doing something I think is boring and repetitive. It feels good to finally have this done

So far my project is coming along pretty nicely! ive made quite a few small doodles to put in my documentary along with lots of video effects. I've Had a bit of trouble putting transitions together, if you dont put them in the perfect spot theyll mess up the video and put things out of place. Ive also struggled with getting some music due to copyright reasons but overall, things are going pretty good!
So far i'm still working on my video. Ive gotten a lot of progress done since my last blog. Ive gotten all my footage and voiceover laid down along with some drawings I will be putting in my project.
I don’t have too much of my documentary done yet, but I’m getting started! So far I have created a movie poster for my documentary along with an intro. I have a good portion of my documentary storyboards and I've recorded a voiceover. At the moment im reteaching myself how to use motion becuase its been forever since I've last used it.
I created my poster using photoshop. I took a couple of pictures from off the internet to use but I put it all together myself. Overall Im just a little behind but ill catch up! I finally got my script done. Now ive started to storyboard my project, I dont have any pictures still, sorry! But so far I have some plans to do the intro to my film with stop motion. I own a collection of Godzilla figurines and I could use one of them to animate a pretty good intro. I used to do a lot of stop motion so I have some experience with animation. Im also thinking of doing more stop motion clips not just for the intro.
So far I have been working on my VAM 30 Independant project for around a month now, So far ive been trying to get as much information as I can about the Godzilla franchise for my documentary. Luckily for me there is a lot of info and articles about the series and Ive been able to get a lot of extra fun facts for my video. Since ive been away for a week in France Ive fallen a little behind, however im getting caught up. I dont have any physical things to show besides research but once I’m finished getting all my information I will start to plan out how I will do my video.
As you may know we have been working on our independent projects in VAM since the beginning of March. For my independent project I have been drawing my own realistic takes on my favourite Pokémon. So far I currently have Aggron, Magmar, Chansey, and Slowpoke completely finished, and I have two more to go. Drawing these has been pretty fun, although they can get a little time consuming.
While drawing these Pokémon I’ve tried to stay true to the originals while putting a realistic spin on them. I’ve used lots of references of real life animals to base my drawings off of. I’ve had to learn how to draw things I’ve never drawn before like fire and certain animals, which I had a lot of trouble with. but I think learning to draw different things will help me a lot in the future. Overall I have had a lot of fun drawing these and I am looking forward to finishing them. Hi, as of now we are finishing up our independent projects and getting ready to display them. I've spent a good while working on these and I would say they turned out pretty good. I had a lot of fun working on these and it was really nice to be able to choose my own topic for my drawings.
There were definitely a few challenges while drawing these, because the artwork I'm doing is digital, sometimes the program glitched and messed up my drawings, I've had to redo entire parts because of this. Despite these little bugs, digital art has allowed me to do a lot more than I could with just traditional art. I'm able to make smoother lines, pick specific colours, and of course, undo mistakes. I definitely enjoyed drawing my own characters. Though they are a little weird, I think that's what makes my drawings stand out a bit more. Because my characters are robots It was fun experimenting with different metal textures and lighting. I'm planning on making these characters into a comic or novel in the future, so i think drawing them might help me get inspired to write more. I think this project was really fun, and I would love to do more things like this in the future. Hello, as of now we have been working on our independent project for around 3 weeks, and we've definitely gotten a lot of work done since, if you saw my last blog post I explained what I was doing for this project. I am drawing 5 digital portraits of my own characters.
So far I have two finished, and one work in progress. So far I've enjoyed making these and trying out new textures. I'm planning on making three more of these portraits. For different textures I have been using the airbrush tools on procreate to make these portraits. I've used them in the past before, Using these tools has been very fun, and I think they give my work a more retro look. It's a little tricky to get the exact shading you want. But overall I really like these brushes. I've been trying to put a chrome texture onto my works, which is harder than it sounds. You have to be careful of the light and angles, along with the colour. Even though it was hard I managed to figure it out and put it into a couple of my works. Overall I am having a great time with these, and I'm looking forward to finishing them. For my independent project I am going to create some portraits of my original characters. I will be using procreate and the airbrush tools on there to make these.my characters are weird cyborg monster things, it's kind of hard to explain exactly what they are but I think they would look great in a more realistic style. I'm thinking of putting a more 80s look to my portraits, using airbrush like tools and getting inspiration from old movie posters and advertisements.
I decided on this for my project because I think my characters are pretty unique and i wouldn't mind showing them to more people, I'm also planning on writing a comic of these characters, so drawing some more artwork might help give me more motivation to make it. I don't use realism that much, so practicing that style might help me improve in the future Either way I'm really looking forward to making these and sharing them! |
